Recent ActivitySeventh grade science consists of three major units. We begin with life science and the study of animals. Then, we move into the exciting world of chemistry. Students are introduced to matter and the periodic table of elements. The third unit is the study of the earth's changing surface, in which we learn about rocks, minerals, and the topography of the earth. We will study exciting topics such as plate tectonics, earthquakes and volcanoes.
Thoughout the year, we create many projects and experiment with various hands-on labs. Students will be introduced to the scientific method and utilize it throughout the year. They will learn the steps of creating a formal laboratory report, which will help them transition into eigth grade science.
